Attendees will receive a biodegradable floating lantern kit and an LED tealight upon entry, and proceed to the lantern art areas to decorate their lantern with all the ready-to-use materials. We provide everything you need to decorate your lantern with your own personal self-expression!
There will be food truck(s) and a beverage stand with water, soda, cider (warm and cold), and a small selection of adult beverages. Free face painting and yard games throughout the area. Music by Ella Gibson and Devin Williams from 5-8. We are working on additional performance artists, including a magician, face painter, and juggler. If permitted, small contained fires may be present for s’mores.
When the event ends, we even take care of the cleanup by gently removing the lanterns from the lake for recycling and the lights for reuse. We return Conservation World back to the way it was before we arrived, using the Leave No Trace philosophy. The leftover art materials will be donated to a local public art program.
Admission is just $10 with a lantern kit or $5 for spectators. Tickets will be sold online as well as day-of, while lanterns last.
